Family Constellations looks at the hidden dynamic that often plays itself out within the family system that we inherited. What we do and experience in our life is deeply connected to what other people in our larger family system have done in their lives.
It helps to see the family as a living system, much like a tree which needs to be in the right soil to grow strong. Similarly the parents need to be strong and give enough support to their children, and the children need to be able to receive the love of their parents. When this natural order is not intact it can lead to consequences that can last generations.
Our Family systems are powerful forces in our lives. Constellation Therapy works with physical representations of a client’s family member and makes visible the hidden dynamics in those relationships. The process of setting up and contemplating the constellation under the guidance of a skilled facilitator reveals patterns and assists us in creating healing images or solutions that can release entanglements and leave the client free from systemic burden.
Giving a place to each family member and honoring those that have come before is an important element of constellations. Andrea Brand is a qualified anthroposophical art therapist and artist and her creative approach brings a unique individual dimension to constellations.

Family Constellations is a interactive, practical modality that engages body, heart mind and soul. First Pioneered by Bert Hellinger constellations has its roots in family systems therapy, phenomenology and the ancestor reverence of South African tribal tradition.
